Another interesting branch on AUTOPLATE‘s increasingly diversifying music tree . “Jigsaw puzzle” is an appropriate metaphor for this release as the individual tracks are so different from one another but yet there is a difficult to describe cohesiveness that allows the scattered pieces to join together to form a picture. Spätsommerwasser is notable for its beautiful use of acoustic guitar and gentle beats. Blindgänger offers a warm layers of acoustic guitar, temperate beats, and a catchy bass line. Punkass Rave is a real surprise as it’s about to close to being a rock song as you can get - distorted electric guitar, heavy emphasis on the drum, and a fasted paced tempo. So und So has an electro-pop flavor with a bouncing electronic loop , a hard-to-get-out-of-your-head bass riff, quick-paced beats, and use of acoustic guitar. Dichter und Lichter is a brief piece having a sad, tuba-like syn line and an interesting rhythmic structure. Interloop is the shortest track consisting of (as the title suggests) repetitive electronic loop. Even surprising myself, La acid la acid is the track I enjoy the most. It has a pop-like quality utilizing a steady beat, an absolutely unforgettable bass line, and warm syns.
